Crappy Little Dreams is a movie that follows me, Craig Flipy, on two weird Sasquatch expeditions ten years apart. In 2005 I filmed my moped trip from Southern California to the Olympic Peninsula in search of bigfoot. Ten years later and after the birth of my first child I got on the moped again to relive my original journey and ask the question; Why do I keep chasing such crappy dreams?

But Crappy Little Dreams is more than just a road trip movie. It’s a family saga that features footage from my childhood. It’s a 90s memoir, featuring footage from my “Time to Destroy” period in NYC and LA, and it’s a look inside the culture of bigfooting, with interviews with inspirational/shocking/titillating weirdos I meet up with along the way. This is a unique production but in a lot of ways, my story is universal. Lots of people come to a point in their lives when they have to decide if it’s worth the sacrifice to follow their passion when they don’t know where it will lead them.

This movie has been decades in the making, I want to share my story in hopes that it inspires others. Everyone has crappy little dreams, but not everyone is stupid enough to live them.

In the spring of 2015, I decided to make a documentary about myself. This may or may not have been the stupidest decision of my life.

Read all about how insane I am to direct, shoot and edit a feature length documentary.
